Information management is a key pillar of disaster response. From enhancing understanding of where the biggest risks lie, to informing proper resource allocation, to increasing communication channels with citizens, information management can transform the way state and local governments manage disasters. During this digital event Route Fifty explored the role information gathering and sharing across both traditional and new platforms such as social media play in emergency response and took a deep-dive into the technologies enabling state and local governments to better prepare for and respond to disasters.
