Government Acquisitions Inc., an 8(a) reseller in Cincinnati, has added Compaq Computer Corp. desktop and portable PCs, servers and networking products to its General Services Administration Information Technology Schedule contract. Government Acquisitions puts a $2,074 price tag on the Compaq Deskpro EP with 333-MHz Pentium II processor, 64M of synchronous dynamic RAM, 3.2G removable and lockable hard drive, 24X CD-ROM drive and Accelerated Graphics Port accelerator from ATI Technologies Inc. of Thornhill, Ontario.

Government Acquisitions puts a $2,074 price tag on the Compaq Deskpro EP with 333-MHz
Pentium II processor, 64M of synchronous dynamic RAM, 3.2G removable and lockable hard
drive, 24X CD-ROM drive and Accelerated Graphics Port accelerator from ATI Technologies
Inc. of Thornhill, Ontario.


The Deskpro EP’s price includes a 17-inch SuperVGA color monitor with Universal
Serial Bus connector, Microsoft Windows 95 and Office Professional 97.


Also on the contract is Compaq’s Armada 1598DMT notebook PC with an added bonus: a
ViewSonic Corp. 17-inch SVGA desktop monitor. The $3,689 notebook has a 266-MHz Pentium
MMX processor, 32M RAM, 4G hard drive, 13.3-inch active-matrix display, integrated audio
and video, 56-Kbps modem, 20X CD-ROM drive, Win95 and Office Pro 97.


Another 8(a) reseller, IntelliSys Technology Corp. of Fairfax, Va., has added to its IT
Schedule contract Computer Associates International Inc.’s ARCserve for
Windows NT Enterprise Edition, Level A. The ARCserve backup agent does data verification,
encryption, virus scanning, and registry backup and restore. IntelliSys prices the package
at $772.


Agencies interested in Internet commerce can purchase from IntelliSys’ contract
the Netscape Communications Corp. ECXpert application, which handles electronic data
interchange, transmission of binary objects and Hypertext Markup Language coding. The
administrator can set user roles and responsibilities in ECXpert. IntelliSys prices the
package from $69,697.


Also on IntelliSys’ contract is the 17-inch Avitron monitor from KDS USA Inc. of
Garden Grove, Calif. It has an antireflective coated screen, 0.25-mm aperture grille and
1,280- by 1,024-pixel resolution. The Energy Star monitor is based on the Trinitron CRT
from Sony Corp. of America of Park Ridge, N.J. Agencies can get it for $428.


The NASA Scientific and Engineering Workstation Procurement II
contract held by Government Technology Services Inc. of Chantilly, Va., offers Minolta
Corp. PageWorks color and monochrome laser printers. The units turn out 12-page-per-minute
monochrome and 3-ppm color prints, and their paper trays can accommodate up to 650 sheets.
Designed for 30,000-page-per-month service, the PageWorks printers carry one-year, on-site
parts and labor warranties.


The PageWorks 6L is priced at $316, the PageWorks 12 at $793 and the Color PageWorks PS
at $3,264.
