WinBatch Studio from Wilson WindowWare Inc. of Seattle performs scripting and batch
control for more than 1,000 Microsoft Windows apps and operating systems.


New in the integrated development environment for WinBatch and the WinBatch++ Compiler
are Internet scripts, cross-application Open Database Connectivity scripts, serial
communications scripts and Hypertext Markup Language dialogs.

Crystal Ball Predictor, a time-series forecasting add-on to the Crystal Ball
decision-support suite from Decisioneering Inc. of Denver, can distribute its computations
over multiple networked stations if given permission.


Chief executive officer Eric Weissmann said Crystal Ball tools are in use at the
Defense Department, Environmental Protection Agency and World Bank. Predictor does what he
called hypercasting, or regression analysis plus forecasting, through the Microsoft Excel
spreadsheet.
