The Army and GCN honored 10 employees in the service's Office of the Director of Information Systems for Command, Control, Communications and Computers for excellence in systems development, management and implementation.

The Army and GCN honored 10 employees in the service's Office of the Director of Information Systems for Command, Control, Communications and Computers for excellence in systems development, management and implementation.

The employees received their awards at a recent GCN Forum luncheon in Washington:

• Maj. David Bailey, Army Knowledge Office project officer, for developing a service on the Defense Department's Secret IP Router Network to provide classified information to users servicewide.

• William E. Boczkowski, command, control, communications computers and information and information technology strategic planner, for overseeing the service's systems investment strategies.

• Frances Foreman, director of the Information Integration and Analysis Center, for overseeing a systems support group that provides services Army-wide.

• Maj. Charles Lankford, program analyst, for ensuring the service's C4 and IT plans are incorporated in the Army planning and budget process.

• Phillip Loranger, director of the DOD Biometrics Management Office, for leading the effort to develop biometrics tools.

• Lt. Col. Roy Lundgren, chief of the Army Network Security Information Program, for creating a roadmap for implementing systems security improvements.

• Claire Marche, information management specialist, for improving the Army's electronic commerce program.

• Jack Rustigian, director of the IT Career Program, for his work attracting, retaining and enhancing the service's IT work force.

• Marlu Vance, IT acquisition policy specialist, for her work incorporating buying reforms into the service's acquisition policies.

• Lt. Col. Addison Woods, acting director of the Strategic and Advanced Computing Center, for his work on advanced computing programs, such as the Army Knowledge Online initiative to create a service information portal.
