' Hat trick. Last month Buzz reported the Defense Logistics Agency was under the gun to contract with non-Chinese beret makers for the Army's new black headwear. Apparently DLA did not succeed. Deputy Defense Secretary Paul Wolfowitz last week told the agency to recall and dispose of all Army berets made in China or of Chinese materials. Now they're the hottest collector's items around.
' It's not a bird; it's not a plane. A pocket-sized Black Widow robotic insect is being tested for possible U.S. military surveillance use, according to a recent BBC report. From AeroVironment Inc. of Monrovia, Calif., the Black Widow has a robotic cousin, the Microbat. Does it have a Microbatmobile?
