The Agriculture Department, the Mint, GCN and Washington Technology honored 18 federal employees for their work in information technology. Awards were presented last week at the GCN'Washington Technology Executive IT Forum in Washington.

, leader of the team responsible for maintaining and supporting nine finance and distribution modules., acting manager of the systems development and training team, and test manager for COINS., manager of the manufacturing team, whose primary job is to direct application implementations and upgrades that support the Mint's manufacturing operations., manager of the human resources and payroll team, for leading a current effort that will integrate the personnel and payroll systems. Agriculture honored employees in many of its agencies:, project manager for the Agricultural Research Service, for guiding the re-engineering of ARS' systems., Region 2 radio program manager for the Forest Service, for leading the Southwest Colorado Land Mobile Radio Narrowband Transition Project., enterprise data warehouse administrator for the National Agricultural Statistics Service, for designing and implementing an extraction, transformation and loading system to support NASS' 425 annual reports., systems deployment leader for the Natural Resources Conservation Service's IT Center, for advising NRCS employees nationwide in hardware and software purchases., project manager for NRCS' IT Center, for managing the Office Information Profile database application., chief of the Telecommunications and Office Automation Branch of the National Finance Center's Office of the Chief Financial Officer, for leadership in several telecommunications initiatives., division chief of Washington telecommunications services and operations in the Office of the Chief Information Officer, for planning and deploying new technology., branch chief of the CIO office's Telecommunications Customer Service Center, for leading the implementation of the General Services Administration's Washington Interagency Telecommunications System 2001 program., project manager for the CIO office's Applications Development Cross-servicing Branch, for developing Agriculture's Agency Application Services Division., chief of Rural Development's Business-Cooperative Services Branch, for establishing a Web farm in St. Louis to support USDA's county agencies., team leader in implementing Rural Development's Web farm, for hosting the bureau's and other USDA agencies' applications., chief of Rural Development's Telecommunications Branch, for his role in designing and implementing electronic-commerce applications.

The Agriculture Department, the Mint, GCN and Washington Technology honored 18 federal employees for their work in information technology. Awards were presented last week at the GCN'Washington Technology Executive IT Forum in Washington.

The Mint honored employees working in its Office of ERP Systems Support:

Keith Regatts, manager of OESS' Maximo/ADCS team, whose work includes enterprise resource planning integration and software implementation, and assisting in the development of training programs, agencywide operating standards and the formation of the Mint's Maximo User Group. Maximo is a plant equipment and optimization software package; ADCS is an automated data collection system.

Bill Byrd, manager of the design and control team, which handles configuration management for the Mint's Consolidated Information System (COINS), for creating end-user technical documents and managing the Mint's online technical library.
