, assistant commissioner for commercial acquisition at the General Services Administration's Federal Supply Service, is leaving the agency.He has been at GSA for three years and is a member of the Senior Executive Service. Fox, who served in the Air Force for 26 years and retired as a colonel, said he plans to continue his career in the private sector., FSS commissioner, and Lester Gray, deputy FSS commissioner, also an-nounced their retirements recently. GSA is combining FSS and the Federal Technology Service under the new Federal Acquisition Service.Air Force is the new director of the Defense Information Systems Agency.A former director of information, services and integration for the Air Force Office of Warfighting Integration and CIO, Croom also becomes the new head of the Joint Task Force for Global Network Operations.Croom replaces , who served as director of the Defense Information Systems Agency for five years and retired from the Air Force after 35 years of service.President Bush has nominated Army to be director of the National Security Agency and chief of the Central Security Service.The Senate still must vote on his confirmation.The National Security Agency, based at Fort Meade, Md., directs, coordinates and executes specialized activities to protect government information systems and produce foreign signals intelligence.Alexander has been serving in the Army's top intelligence position, deputy chief of staff/G-2, since July 2003.If confirmed, he will replace , who left NSA in May to take the position of deputy director of national intelligence.
